Declaration of Independence Of The Principality of the Northern Forests is a justification to sever association and ties to the United States by listing 32 specific grievances against the United States president Donald Trump and the actions of his Administration towards one of its most vulnerable populations - transgender people. It is the Founding Legal Document of the Principality of the Northern Forests and asserts certain natural and legal rights, including a right of revolution and the right to establish one's own country. Its original purpose was to announce independence. The United States Declaration of Independence provides guidance on when a people may sever ties with he United States and create their own government in the following passage:

"[...] whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness." - United States Declaration of Independence

This passage does not stipulate that it has to be the whole country, a state, County; a City, village or just one or more people. Princess Cedrus I of the Northern Forests reiterated this fact in the Declaration of Independence for the Principality by exclaiming:

"[...] whenever any form of government becomes virulent and pernicious to the rights and safety of their people - irrespective of political or social ideology - it is the right of those people to abolish it, and to institute a new government to affect their own safety and happiness. Due to the continued and blatant violations of human rights, international law, and the outright war against those people in the LGBT community; specifically transgender people, the Princess decided to use her Northern Lands in the state of Alaska and create a safe place that could grow and prosper without the oppression of transgender people by the United States Presidential Administration. Thus, it was created as a remote, private, and secluded Principality where people could live out their lives in a much more simplified 14th century manner of living without fear of persecution and castigating behaviors from government facilities, groups or organizations.

The Principality of the Northern Forests also has a right to protect its borders and will arrest and detain any trespassers under common law arrest powers and deport them back to the United States and hand them over to the Alaska State Patrol for possible criminal charges. The Principality,as of this date, is not required by the state of Alaska or the United States government to pay any type of property taxes or any other type of monies.

Introduction

Asserts the ability of a people to assume political independence; acknowledges that the grounds for such independence must be reasonable, and therefore explicable, and ought to be explained.

The Declaration of Independence of the Principality of the Northern Forests

"On this day, 01 January 2020, We, Princess Cedrus I of the Northern Forests and Grand Duchess Isabella of Deodara, do declare that whenever any form of government becomes virulent and pernicious to the rights and safety of their people - irrespective of political or social ideology - it is the right of those people to abolish it, and to institute a new government to affect their own safety and happiness."

Preamble

Outlines a general philosophy of government that justifies revolution when government harms natural rights.

"On this day, 01 January 2020, We, Princess Cedrus I of the Northern Forests, do declare that whenever any form of government becomes virulent and pernicious to the rights and safety of their people - irrespective of political or social ideology - it is the right of those people to abolish it, and to institute a new government to affect their own safety and happiness. The current United States government has become a tyranny and oppressing its most vulnerable populations thus, it is Our right, Our duty, to throw off such inferior abusive republican government, and to provide new guards for Our future security and the security of any subjects that may inhabit Our Princely Lands. Thus, We hereby establish, found, create and institute the Principality of the Northern Forests in a remote region of the United States altering Our former system of government and establishing a Hereditary leadership with Princess Cedrus I of the Northern Forests as head of government and of state."

Indictment

A detailed account of the Trump Administrations "repeated injuries and usurpations" of the rights and liberties of Transgender people in the United States.

"20 January 2017: On President Trump’s inauguration day, the administration scrubbed all mentions of LGBTQ people from the websites of the White House, Department of State, and Department of Labor.

"31 January 2017: President Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Gorsuch has a history of anti-transgender rulings.

"22 February 2017: The Departments of Justice and Education withdrew landmark 2016 guidance explaining how schools must protect transgender students under the federal Title IX law.

"24 March 2017: The Justice Department cancelled a long-planned National Institute of Corrections broadcast on “Transgender Persons in Custody: The Legal Landscape.”

"28 March 2017: The Census Bureau retracted a proposal to collect demographic information on LGBT people in the 2020 Census.

"02 May 2017: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a plan to roll back regulations interpreting the Affordable Care Act’s nondiscrimination provisions to protect transgender people.

"13 July 2017: President Trump nominated Mark Norris to the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee wo has worked to specifically discriminate against transgender kids.

"26 July 2017: President Donald Trump announced, via Twitter, that "the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military."

"26 July 2017: The Justice Department filed a legal brief on behalf of the United States in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, arguing that the 1964 Civil Rights Act does not prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation or, implicitly, gender identity.

"25 August 2017: President Trump released a memo directing Defense Department to move forward with developing a plan to discharge transgender military service members and to maintain a ban on recruitment.

"07 September 2017: The Justice Department filed a legal brief on behalf of the United States in the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing for a constitutional right for businesses to discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and, implicitly, gender identity.

"05 October 2017: The Justice Department released a memo instructing Department of Justice attorneys to take the legal position that federal law does not protect transgender workers from discrimination.

"14 December 2017: Staff at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention were instructed not to use the words “transgender,” “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “fetus,” “evidence-based,” and “science-based” in official documents.

"26 January 2018: The Department of Health and Human Services proposed a rule that encourages medical providers to use religious grounds to deny treatment to transgender people, people who need reproductive care, and others.

"18 February 2018: The Department of Education announced it will summarily dismiss complaints from transgender students involving exclusion from school facilities and other claims based solely on gender identity discrimination.

"20 March 2018: The Department of Education reiterated that the Trump administration would refuse to allow transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms based on their gender identity.

"23 March 2018: The Trump Administration announced an implementation plan for its discriminatory ban on transgender military service members.

"11 May 2018: The Bureau of Prisons in the Department of Justice adopted an illegal policy of almost entirely housing transgender people in federal prison facilities that match their sex assigned at birth.

"24 October 2018: The Department of Justice submitted a brief to the Supreme Court arguing that it is legal to discriminate against transgender employees.

"25 October 2018: U.S. representatives at the United Nations worked to remove references to transgender people in UN human rights documents.

"13 March 2019: The Department of Defense laid out its plans for implementing its ban on transgender troops, giving an official implementation date of April 12.

"12 April 2019: The Department of Defense put President Trump’s ban on transgender service members into effect, putting service members at risk of discharge if they come out or are found out to be transgender.

"02 May 2019: The Department of Health and Human Services published a final rule encouraging hospital officials, staff, and insurance companies to deny care to patients, including transgender patients, based on religious or moral beliefs.

"14 May 2019: President Trump announced his opposition to the Equality Act, the federal legislation that would confirm and strengthen civil rights protections for transgender Americans and others.

"22 May 2019: The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced a plan to gut regulations prohibiting discrimination against transgender people in HUD-funded homeless shelters.

"24 May 2019: The Department of Health and Human Services published a proposed rule that would remove all recognition that federal law prohibits transgender patients from discrimination in health care.

"08 July 2019: The Department of State established a “Commission on Unalienable Rights” aimed at narrowing our country’s human rights advocacy to fit with the “natural law” and “natural rights” views of social conservatives, stating it would seek to “be vigilant that human rights discourse not be corrupted or hijacked or used for dubious or malignant purposes.”

"16 August 2019: The Department of Justice filed a brief in the U.S. Supreme Court arguing that federal law “does not prohibit discrimination against transgender persons based on their transgender status.”

"19 September 2019: The Department of Health and Human Services cancelled a plan to explicitly prohibit hospitals from discriminating against LGBTQ patients as a requirement of Medicare and Medicaid funds.

"01 November 2019: the Department of Education published final regulations permitting religious schools to ignore nondiscrimination standards set by accrediting agencies.

"02 November 2019: the Department of Health and Human Services announced it would not enforce, and planned to repeal, regulations prohibiting discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, and religion in all HHS grant programs. 05 November 2019: The Department of Labor is henceforth allowed discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Denunciation

This section essentially finishes the case for independence. The conditions that justified revolution have been shown.

"This mentally unstable and inferior elected president’s legislature has extended an unwarrantable, unwanted, and criminal jurisdiction over Us. We, therefore, the representatives of the Principality of the Northern Forests whose lands I, Princess Cedrus I of the Northern Forests, rightfully own debt free solemnly publish and declare, that the Principality of the Northern Forests are, and of right ought to be, a free and Independent State owing no annual property taxes nor any other monies to the United States government nor its inferior state governments."

Conclusion

The signers assert that there exist conditions under which people must change their government, that the American Government has produced such conditions and thus, any ties are now absolved.

"We, thus, are absolved from any political allegiance to the inferior republican system of government, and that all political connection between Us and the United States, is and ought to be, totally dissolved; and that as a Free and Independent State we have full power to establish treaties, contract alliances, establish commerce, enact laws and establish our own courts, law enforcement, military, and to do all other acts and things which independent States may of right do. "
